The City of Dearborn's 2026-2035 Strategic Plan serves as a roadmap to guide the community's long-term vision, priorities, and goals over a 10-year period. This first annual update details progress across five strategic outcomes: Green & Healthy Dearborn, Economic Opportunity & Mobility, Civic Engagement & Democracy, Safety & Justice for All, and Innovative Government. The City Council meeting included discussions and resolutions regarding recognizing October 2025 as Michigan Library Appreciation Month and Breast Cancer Awareness Month. The council also considered resolutions to recognize The Pink Sisters for their support to women with Breast Cancer and Mary Petlichkoff for her service to the Dearborn community. The council also discussed reallocating a position and budget from the Assessing Department to the Community Relations Department, adding new full-time positions, determining a response to a FOIA Appeal, and concurring with an appointment to the Warren Business District Authority.

The City Council meeting included a resolution designating March 2025 as Disability Awareness Month and another proclaiming March 2025 as National Women's History Month, celebrating women educating and inspiring generations. This Parks and Recreation Master Plan for the City of Dearborn, covering 2026-2030, aims to guide recreation planning and development, assess future needs, and provide strategies for park development to meet the needs of a growing population. Key strategic goals include maintaining and improving city parks for high-quality recreational experiences, capitalizing on the Rouge River for land and water recreation, enhancing the pedestrian and bicycle network for safer mobility, exploring the expansion of major sports facilities, and studying the importance of an outdoor performance venue.

The Community Health Improvement Plan for Dearborn focuses on addressing key health issues identified through a comprehensive assessment. The plan prioritizes mental and behavioral health by reducing stigma and increasing access to services. It aims to improve maternal and child health by providing comprehensive support during pregnancy and early childhood. Additionally, the plan addresses environmental health concerns related to industrial proximity and promotes community health resources, education, and literacy to ensure equitable access to information and support for all residents.
