The board held an administrative hearing and a public hearing. The regular meeting included recognition of Thomas Kennedy for his work as President of the Florida School Board Association (FSBA) and Representative Ralph Massullo as FSBA's Friend of Education. The board approved instructional and support recommendations, and the position of Supervisor of Safe Schools. They also discussed and approved the Master Agreement and Student Data Privacy Agreement for McGraw Hill (Achieve 3000). Additionally, the board discussed the cash and investment report, budget update, and the 2023-2024 Code of Student Conduct. The consent agenda included approvals for pre-qualification of contractors, professional service agreements, project acceptances, and various donations to Withlacoochee Technical College.

The meeting included an administrative hearing addressing expulsion cases. The regular meeting featured recognition of student achievements in a Veterans Day program and performances by a cappella group. The agenda was modified to include safety and security updates and an athletic training service agreement. Discussions covered the approval of a five-year work plan, safety and security school visits report, and an athletic training service agreement with Tampa General Hospital Citrus. Other topics included E-Rate consulting services, budget amendments, cash and investment reports, and various donations to schools. The board also discussed school time changes, the impact of the transportation behavior matrix, and the legislative platform for future consideration.

The meeting included discussions and visits to various school sites. Renovations at Citrus Springs Elementary, including office renovations and security enhancements, were reviewed. New flooring at Crystal River Primary was examined. At Lecanto Primary School, a glass partition between classrooms and playground enhancements were discussed. Security issues and virtual fencing at Citrus High School were observed. The condition of portables and potential cafeteria expansion at Floral City Elementary were also discussed.

The meeting included recognition of donations, FHSAA recognition of Douglas Dodd, recognition of the Rozelle Sportsmanship Award, and recognition of Thomas Kennedy for his dedication to swimming. The board discussed a strategic plan update, approved closing eSchool K-5 due to declining enrollment, and approved an amendment to a contract with Achievement Rehabilitation and Therapeutic Intervention, Inc. Additional discussion included school advisory council membership forms, a memorandum of understanding for EMT training, PBIS rewards, renewal of an agreement between Alachua County Title I Part C Migrant Program and CCSB, Testhound services, monthly school volunteers, purchase of International Baccalaureate exams, and several donations to schools and colleges. The board also discussed surplus property and budget amendments.

The meeting included the swearing-in of the Superintendent and School Board members. Nominations and elections were held for the Chairman and Vice Chairman of the School Board. The date and time for regular meetings were set, and the School Board Attorney was hired. There was also a welcome to the new School Board member.
