Criminal Justice Alternative To Incarceration Meeting
The meeting included discussions on group updates such as the cessation of a contract with a camera vendor and ongoing EMS program working group initiatives. The chair provided an update on data analysis projects for community impact measurement. A significant portion of the meeting was dedicated to the intersection of youth and the criminal justice system, covering case handling processes for juvenile delinquents, adolescent offenders, and the PINS program. Participants analyzed gaps in services such as mental health support, substance use treatment, and employment services, and explored the potential for inter-agency collaboration to improve service access. Additionally, the committee reviewed the status of long-term inmate cases, including trials, sentencing, and psychiatric placements.
