The Board of Adjustment denied a request for a variance to install an accessory dwelling structure in the front yard of a property at 423 Rustin Street. The Board approved a Temporary Use Permit for property south of 3060 Floyd Boulevard to allow for agricultural use, specifically foliage, roughage, and feed grain crops, for a three-year period. Additionally, staff provided an update regarding recent variance legislation signed by the Governor that becomes effective in July 2026.

The Board approved a conditional use permit for the properties located at 5201 Patton Street and 2307 Bridgeport Drive, allowing for the installation of a dock to support barge loading operations. Additionally, staff provided an update regarding an upcoming presentation to the City Council concerning recent variance legislation, minor modifications, and site plans.

The City Council convened a closed session to discuss legal strategy with counsel. The session focused on pending and imminent litigation matters where disclosure would be prejudicial to the City's position.
