Student Senate Meeting Minutes
The compiled minutes cover multiple meetings for the Student Senate 2025-2026 term, detailing introductions and setting expectations for new senators, including the submission of bios and headshots. Key discussions centered on committee assignments, upcoming campus events requiring volunteer support (such as Town Hall, Ignite the Light, and Esports Hour), and the structure/responsibilities for each committee, with a requirement for all members to join at least one. Later discussions included general updates on department initiatives like the CISAT Hackathon and the Kingsley Poetry Event, the successful execution of the 'Ignite the Light' event (with feedback leading to changes in the food line check-in system), and planning for future events, including a Thanksgiving potluck and a December mental health awareness event. The final meetings addressed setting details for the upcoming semester, confirming committee goals and responsibilities, including the establishment of an Election Committee, and planning for senator recruitment efforts, including a club fair.
