This document outlines the Clay County Utility Authority's long-term strategy for ensuring water sustainability through environment and stewardship initiatives. Key focus areas include transitioning from reliance on the Floridan Aquifer to a diverse portfolio of water sources, specifically through Alternative Water Supply (AWS) planning, which includes projects like Project Quench for potable reuse. The meeting was held to engage partners and seek feedback regarding CCUA's 'As-built Specifications Manual and Review Process.' The discussion included why as-builts are kicked back multiple times, the possibility of submitting preliminary as-builts for review prior to final submittal, and the time-consuming nature of converting engineering CAD files to meet CCUA standards. Other topics included the engineers' preference to see all utilities on one sheet, the value of a meeting prior to the project, concerns about the implementation of design CAD standards, the expected review time for as-built reviews, and the inclusion of CCUA website links in the pre-con package and close out document emails. The meeting also addressed the time it takes to approve COC's, the preference between the engineer's title block and CCUA's title block, how contractors and surveyors can help streamline issues, and the requirements for directional drilling projects.
