The board meeting addressed several key business items, including an update on the subsidiary Altitude Access Solutions, Inc., a review of the operating and capital budgets for 2026/2027, and the approval of the SRAA CONRAC Bond. Additionally, the board approved an agreement with the Syracuse Police Department Emergency Response Team and received reports from the HR, Finance, Governance, and Audit committees.

The meeting includes a discussion and resolution regarding the SRAA/AAS parking management agreement, a review of the AAS handbook including delegation, and overall discussions regarding the AAS budget.

The Syracuse Hancock International Airport Strategic Plan serves as a roadmap to enhance the quality of life in the Central New York Region by stimulating economic development and improving civic, cultural, and recreational engagement, while positioning the airport at the forefront of the next generation of air transportation. Key strategic areas include enhancing the passenger experience, adding air service, increasing passenger volume, developing a sustainable long-range financial plan, operating the airport safely and efficiently, and fostering a service-oriented culture across the employee community. The plan focuses on a forward-thinking, business-oriented approach to create partnerships and ensure a superior passenger experience and profitable economic relationships for all parties.

The agenda includes the establishment and amendment of standard work days for specific personnel positions and the clarification of publication requirements. New business involves a subsidiary update, a review of the operating and capital budgets, and the authorization of a collective bargaining agreement with AFSCME Local 1773a. Furthermore, the board will consider resolutions for grant agreements and associated funding from the State of New York for an ARFF vehicle, terminal apron expansion, runway rehabilitation, the South Deicing Pad, and taxiway reconstruction. Committee reports from the HR, Finance, Governance, and Audit committees are also scheduled.
