City Of Harrisonburg City Council Meeting Minutes
The council reviewed and approved several special event applications, including a library reading celebration, a pride celebration, and a half marathon. Supplemental appropriations for the General Fund, Water Capital Projects Fund, Water Fund, and Stormwater Fund were approved. Rezoning requests and special use permits were considered for properties on Franklin Street and Madison Street. Presentations were received regarding the Planning Commission Annual Report, a sculpture design for the Spraygrounds at Ralph Sampson Park, the Harrison House project, an artificial intelligence policy, the proposed fiscal year budget, automated license plate readers, and the restoration of the City Hall complex. Appointments were made to the EPSAC and the Harrisonburg Redevelopment and Housing Authority. The council also entered into a closed session to consult with legal counsel regarding litigation.
