The meeting included a public hearing for discussion of a new adoption to school board rule/policy, the adoption of school board rule/policy 5.90+ regarding foreign exchange students, approval of a memorandum of agreement between the University of South Florida and Walton County School District for a youth mental health awareness and training project, approval of an agreement between Heffley & Associates and the Walton County School Board for representation with state government, approval of various financial statements, approval of a new instructional support specialist position description, approval of a contract with Florida State University for student teaching, approval of personnel recommendations, approval of a contract with Educational Management Consultant Services, Inc. for student services, approval of a contract amendment with Gaetz Aerospace Institute and Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, approval of a Title III Immigrant Project Application, an exceptional student education update presentation, approval of new copier contracts, approval of an agreement with the DeFuniak Little League Association, notice of proposed purchase of real property, approval of final payment for South Walton High School classroom additions, approval of an architectural contract for South Walton High School athletic facilities, approval of construction management advertisement for South Walton High School athletic facilities, approval of a change order for Dune Lakes Elementary School, and the appointment of a second school board member to serve as an alternate to the Value Adjustment Board. A special meeting was scheduled to discuss amending the notice of tax for school capital outlay advertisement and approval.
