The meeting included an interactive activity to review current Partnership work and priorities. A presentation on Primary Prevention 101 covered the various levels of prevention, including primordial, primary, secondary, and tertiary approaches, and emphasized upstream, policy-based interventions. The Partnership provided updates on the development of process measures to track engagement and health priorities, and announced upcoming changes to membership requirements, including a new application process and attendance expectations. Attendees also shared organizational updates, including information on food access initiatives, regional health conferences, and local public health services.

The task force meeting focused on the long-term role of the advisory group in supporting the Center for Healthcare Affordability. Key discussions included identifying healthcare spending drivers, understanding the importance of the patient-clinician relationship, and defining policy research directions such as insurance benefit design, value-based payment models, and addressing non-value-added spending. Participants emphasized the need to build the Center's long-term capacity for nonpartisan research and to focus on improving healthcare access and affordability.

The meeting focused on updates regarding federal Part C education reporting, including compliance and performance indicators. Members reviewed the results of the committee experience survey to identify areas for improvement. A family representative shared personal experiences regarding early intervention and deaf education. Additionally, the committee discussed educational support and hearing screening services for children with congenital cytomegalovirus in school settings.

The council meeting agenda includes staff reports from the Office of Emergency Medical Services, the American College of Surgeon Committee on Trauma, and the Advisory Council on Traffic Safety. Additionally, the Applicant Review Committee will present recommendations for designation. Networking reports from trauma program managers and medical directors will be provided, alongside briefings from Regional Trauma Advisory Councils and a report from the Data Work Group. New business includes the election of officers and a presentation on ultrasound-guided regional anesthesia for rib fracture pain.

The advisory council meeting agenda included the appointment of a new vice chair, updates regarding the Minnesota Department of Health (MDH) rule governing registered sanitarians, and the review and approval of candidates for registration and examination.
