The City Council meeting included a business session for unagendized items, followed by scheduled presentations. The Council meeting included a presentation of the CPRS marketing and communications award to the city's Parks and Recreation Department. Public comments addressed concerns regarding the impact of fireworks on pets, wildlife, and the historic district, as well as the fire risks posed by their proximity to public areas. The Council and the Fire Chief discussed current safety measures and future potential to transition to drone shows. Additionally, the Council approved a resolution for public fireworks displays during the annual Folsom Pro Rodeo and initiated a construction agreement for a pavement resurfacing project.
