General Services Committee Minutes
The committee held a presentation by the Jefferson County Economic Development CEO regarding economic development performance, investment ratios, and future project pipelines. The committee reviewed and sponsored numerous resolutions, including accepting a donation for Watertown International Airport, budget amendments for various departments (Code Enforcement, Highway, Sheriff's Office), grant award agreements (GIVE, STRIVE, Child Passenger Safety, Police Traffic Services), and service agreements for technical support, psychological testing, and juvenile supervision programs. Additionally, the Highway Superintendent provided updates on county road projects and explained the criteria for determining surface treatments versus full reconstruction.
