The board discussed the budget and updated financial projections, following a statewide error in state funding calculations. A proposal was made for a 10.5-mill increase for operational funding, which will be offset by a 3.5-mill decrease in debt service millage, resulting in a net benefit for taxpayers. The discussion also covered the impact of new school enrollment data and funding formulas on district revenue, as well as plans for staffing and facility requirements.
