Furthermore, approvals were granted for the purchase of a truck for the Solid Waste Department, a budget amendment for an Equipment Operator III position within Solid Waste, budget amendments for street resurfacing projects, and an emergency budget amendment for an HVAC unit replacement at the Animal Shelter. Reports included congratulations to the SHS Football Team and announcements regarding upcoming work sessions and meetings.

The City Council meeting focused on several key items. Old Business was reported as none. New Business included the consideration and adoption of Resolution 2025-11-28 to declare two Police Department vehicles (2008 Dodge Charger and 2009 Dodge Charger) as surplus property to be disposed of via GovDeals, with proceeds directed to the Police Department Capital Outlay account. The Council also approved the Jail Supervisor job description, approved a budget amendment of $4,100 from excess sales tax, and approved a corresponding Equipment Operator II/Heavy Equipment Maintenance job description. Furthermore, appointments were made to the Museum Commission (Brenda Ivey, Patricia Smith, Steve Turner, and Bill Anderson) and Brenda Ivey was re-appointed to the Library Board.
