This document represents an update to the Town of Port Washington's Comprehensive Plan, designed to guide land use decisions through 2035. The plan aims to balance the preservation of the town's historical rural and agricultural character with compatible development to support economic needs and ensure a healthy, attractive living and working environment. Strategic pillars include assuring a variety of safe housing types, providing an efficient transportation system, maintaining and enhancing utilities and community facilities, protecting agricultural, natural, and cultural resources, securing desirable economic growth, particularly in the Knellsville area, and fostering intergovernmental cooperation.
