Waco Independent School Board Regular Meeting
The board meeting featured several recognition segments, including honoring student pledge leaders, the fine arts department for the District of Distinction award, a staff member as the Social Work Task Supervisor of the Year, and students competing in the National Educators Rising competition. The Waco Striders Running Club was recognized as a community partner. Additionally, the superintendent provided a report on district-wide events such as the family fest and fun run. New leadership appointments were formally introduced, including the Chief Operating Officer and new principals for Bells Hill Elementary, Brook Avenue Elementary, and West Avenue Elementary. Finally, campus leaders were acknowledged for their performance achievements regarding growth targets.
