Town Commission Town Commission Meeting
The Town Commission meeting included discussions on several key items. New business featured a project update on the Septic to Sewer initiative, including resident connection and financing options, as well as a request for a Special Exception to allow a beach house at 1800 South Ocean Boulevard. Additionally, there were multiple variance requests for properties on South Ocean Boulevard and a review of the proposed Ad Valorem millage rate and budget for the upcoming fiscal year. A public hearing was conducted regarding several ordinances, including amendments to zoning districts, the creation of a new division for waterways and docks, and changes to the retirement fund for employees. Finally, a resolution was passed to update the building department's fee schedule in accordance with new state legislation.
