The Reno Fire Department Strategic Plan 2023-2026

The Reno Fire Department's strategic plan is designed to provide optimal all-hazard emergency services, protect lives and property, and proactively reduce community risk. It outlines five strategic goals: protecting the community and its assets, optimizing resource deployment, modernizing and expanding infrastructure, promoting regional collaboration, and prioritizing staff wellness, training, and development. The plan envisions a flexible, efficient, and dynamic department with improved staffing, proactive fire prevention, efficient call routing, sustainable paramedic and wildfire programs, state-of-the-art equipment, and regional service collaboration, including centralized dispatch.
