It focuses on enhancing physical infrastructure through new facilities, potential land acquisition, common use pods, vehicular access, and dedicated areas for sports and maintenance. Additionally, the plan addresses programmatic elements such as curriculum learning and facilities for fairs and recreation.

The Berrien Springs Public Schools' strategic plan, a three-year initiative, prioritizes student learning and achievement. It outlines specific proficiency goals for students in Reading (62%), Math (52%), and achieving top 25% ranking in Social Studies and Science among Berrien County school districts. Additionally, the plan aims to reduce repeat student offenders to less than 10% annually. The implementation focuses on three core strategies: improving student attendance, enhancing student achievement, and increasing student engagement in learning.

The meeting focused on the four pillars of instructional models, with an emphasis on clear and high expectations. Key discussion items included a review of district goals, an analysis of M-STEP and NWEA data to address shortcomings in math and reading scores, and strategies for aligning classroom instruction with school improvement goals. The team also discussed thinking routines, student goal-setting, and effective pedagogical practices such as learning targets and formative assessments. Additionally, the group participated in a webinar-based huddle to celebrate successes and planned for future training to continue work on instructional pillars.
