Board of Fire Commissioners Regular Meeting
The meeting included a public hearing for the adoption of the 2022-2023 final millage rate and the adoption of the 2022-2023 final budget. The fiscal year 2022-2023 final operating millage rate for the Cedar Hammock Fire Control District is 1.3 mills, which is more than the rolled-back rate of 1.1398 mills by 14.06%. The Board of Fire Commissioners has set forth the appropriations and revenue estimate for the final budget for fiscal year 2022-2023 in the amount of $14,325,980 and has committed funds in the amount of $3,135,000. The schedule of meetings for the fiscal year 2022-2023 was also approved. Commissioner Reasoner expects to have the fire chief's employment agreement for review at the next meeting. Chief Hoyle announced that October 22, he would begin using accrued leave, and the Change of Command ceremony will take place November 12.
