The Board convened for a special meeting to address public employment matters regarding an Executive Assistant position during a closed session. No action was taken on the matter, and the meeting was subsequently adjourned.

The committee held an introductory session covering the purpose and functions of the ICOC, including alignment with Prop 39 standards and the San Diego Taxpayer's Association criteria. Discussion topics included the Ralph M. Brown Act requirements, conflict of interest and financial disclosure obligations, and legal indemnification for committee members. The committee established a proposed meeting schedule for the 2007/2008 term and conducted an initial review of the Proposition R Bond language and project priorities. Additionally, the committee reviewed the district's website features regarding ICOC information.

The committee meeting agenda covers the review of roles and responsibilities, discussion of annual and initial parent notification letters related to Title III, procedures for initial ELPAC testing, the status of state testing and reclassification, and guidelines for parent-teacher conferences.

The committee held a meeting to recognize a long-term staff member for their retirement. Discussions focused on the implementation and services of the Local Control Accountability Plan (LCAP), including information on teacher training to support student instruction and the upcoming revision cycle for the LCAP. The meeting also included a presentation on technology, specifically regarding the district's iPad procurement cycle, as well as an overview of supplemental staff support and intervention programs. Additionally, the committee participated in a demonstration of mathematics learning games.

The meeting included a retirement celebration recognizing thirty-seven years of service. Discussion topics covered the status of Local Control Accountability Plan (LCAP) implementation, including district expenditure rationale, teacher training models, and the upcoming new LCAP cycle. The meeting also addressed the upcoming rollout of new student iPads, a review of available educational technology and support programs, and a presentation of mathematical games for students.
