The City Council discussed the development of a citywide collective agenda, which serves as a shared community plan rather than a traditional strategic plan for city government alone. The process aims to engage various sectors, including non-profits, businesses, residents, and schools, to establish a shared vision with measurable results and indicators. Key discussion points included the methodology for gathering community input through surveys and interviews, the creation of a guiding committee, and the importance of aligning this new initiative with existing city performance metrics to ensure manageable workloads for staff.
