The plan is structured around setting priorities and goals, convening stakeholders for collaboration, implementing concrete actions, and informing the community. Key objectives include increasing the number of students in racially representative schools by 50,000, decreasing economically stratified schools by 10%, and enhancing inclusivity for English Language Learners and Students with Disabilities over the next five years. The plan details twelve proposals aimed at admissions reforms, expanding access to screened schools, streamlining application processes, fostering welcoming school climates, and increasing participation in STEM and rigorous coursework, with an overarching goal by 2026 to ensure 80% of students graduate high school on time and are college-ready.
