The 2025-2030 Strategic Plan for Danville Community College focuses on providing quality comprehensive higher education and workforce programs to promote student success and enhance business and community partnerships. Key priorities include student success, advancing excellence, resource development, and reaching more Virginians. The plan emphasizes innovation, accessibility, momentum, dignity, courage, and commitment to strengthen academic and workforce preparation and serve the community with excellence.

The meeting included introductions of the new Interim Vice President of Academic Affairs and Student Services, and champions of the SACSCOC Reaffirmation project. Updates were provided on Human Resources activities, including recruitment workshops, new employee onboarding, and employee recognition. Academic Affairs and Student Services discussed enrollment management highlights, the implementation of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in education, accessibility enhancements, and upcoming events. Finance and Administration shared updates on safety achievements, volunteer activities, facility satisfaction, general funds, capital project plans, and IT updates. Marketing and Public Relations presented the 'This Could Be You' campaign, campus improvements, and social media statistics. Institutional Advancement/Development reported on community and state-wide collaboration, college and community support, and fundraising efforts. Workforce Services highlighted program offerings, continued education courses, the Diesel Technology Program launch, and partnerships with the K-12 sector. The President's Report covered steps to develop DCC as a leader college, SACSCOC Reaffirmation progress, college infrastructure actions, VCCS news and updates, and community connections.

The meeting included discussions on discontinuing several academic programs (Business Administration, AA&S; Liberal Arts, AA&S; Liberal Arts-Humanities Specialization, AA&S; Liberal Arts-Social Science Specialization, AA&S; Science, AA&S; Science-Computer Science Specialization, AA&S; Network Virtualization Technologies, CSC; Desktop Applications, CSC; Mobile Applications Development, CSC; IST Gaming and Mobile Apps, AAS; Dimensional Inspection, CSC; Metal Arts, CSC) and establishing new degree designations (Business Administration, AS; Liberal Arts, AA; Science, AS). Updates were provided on enrollment, reaffirmation efforts, human resources, finance and administration, marketing and public relations, institutional advancement/development, and workforce services. Fundraising updates, capital project plans, IT updates, and upcoming events were also discussed. A name change for the Administration of Justice program was approved.
