The City Council discussed the refinancing of the 2009 SRF Bond, which was addressed by Matt Adams from Raymond James & Associates, Inc. The refinancing, achieved through the issuance of the 2017 GOW, is expected to save the city approximately $338,000.00 over the loan's course due to a reduced interest rate of 2.39%. An executive session was held to discuss a potential economic development project.

The City Council met in a special session to canvass the votes from the August 11, 2015 Seven-Day Alcohol Sales Special Election. The council approved a resolution certifying the election results, which indicated that an overwhelming majority of voters authorized the legal sale and distribution of alcoholic beverages within the City of Pell City on Sundays.
