Shenandoah County Planning Commission Regular Meeting
The meeting involved public hearings regarding two Special Use Permits. The first hearing concerned an amendment to permit 97-08-01 for the modernization of an existing campground, which resulted in a recommendation for denial. The second hearing addressed permit 26-09-01 for a proposed rural resort and retreat center. After public input and deliberation, the Commission decided to table this item until the following month to allow the applicant time to address concerns related to event capacity, VDOT site distance, environmental impacts, and neighbor communications.
