Monthly Board Meeting
The board meeting commenced with the roll call. The primary focus of the meeting was presentations aligned with the 25 to 30 strategic plan priorities, specifically expanding access to high interest and workforce ready offerings. Key discussion points included a data review covering post-secondary enrollment, pathway completion, and accelerated enrollment metrics, with a target for improvement by 2030. Strategies presented focused on increasing student engagement through individualized post-secondary planning, including the mandatory completion of interest/aptitude assessments by 8th grade and the development of individual college and career plans reviewed annually. Other topics included capacity building through professional learning for staff on new state requirements and dual enrollment programs like Accelerated Career, and expanding access to high-skill, high-demand pathways using workforce demand data. The session also showcased student success stories illustrating the impact of these initiatives.
