The Commission met to conduct interviews and consider reappointments for members of the Library Board. The meeting combined sessions for the Inland Wetlands and Watercourses Agency and the Planning and Zoning Commission. The agency accepted a single-family dwelling application for public hearing, approved a modification for a utility bridge installation, and continued two other dwelling applications. The commission approved a referral for the disposition of property on Golden Hill Street, which involves the development of 74 residential units, and authorized a site plan for an educational urban farm after verifying that all livestock had been removed from the premises.

The meeting included public comments regarding the impact of illegal and unpermitted housing on tenants, the sale of Bassick High School and affordable housing concerns, and the need for a fully functioning ethics commission to restore public trust. Additionally, residents requested support for a refund of interest and penalties on taxes related to Success Village, noting that the misappropriation of funds had caused significant financial hardship for innocent residents.

The committee held interviews with applicants for American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) grants, although one organization failed to attend. The committee conducted an interview with representatives from Shiloh Baptist Church of Bridgeport, Inc. and reviewed a draft allocation spreadsheet to finalize funding recommendations, resulting in the approval of the proposed grant allocations.
