School Board Workshop
The workshop focused on a review of construction change order reports, including tax savings from direct material purchases and contingency adjustments for various school projects. The Board received updates on construction progress at multiple campuses, including Beayshore Elementary, the new PreK-8 school, Bonita Springs Elementary, Cape Technical College, and Cypress Lake Middle School. Additionally, discussions were held regarding the potential sale or recycling of excess steel inventory, the transition of fire suppression systems to domestic water at Cape Technical College, and efforts to negotiate reduced landscaping requirements with the City of Cape Coral to alleviate maintenance costs and address security concerns.
