The Regular Board Meeting included a Public Hearing regarding the Proposed 2025-2026 Budget and Four-Year Budget, which was subsequently closed. The Consent Agenda addressed items including the approval of a resignation, an overnight FFA field trip, an updated Nondiscrimination Policy, surplus copy machines, and various bills and payroll. Presentations covered an update and Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) from Zero Emissions Northwest, and a Facilities Update on completed summer projects. Discussion items included a financial report update, the "School & District Updates" report, potential portable purchase considerations, and logistical fact-finding regarding bringing back the Drivers Education program, as well as the 2025/2026 Staffing Plan status. Action items resulted in the approval of Resolution #25-07 Fixing and Adopting the 2025-2026 Budget and the approval of the Community Solar Power Purchase Agreement with Zero Emissions Northwest. An Executive Session was held to discuss updates on negotiations with Certificated Staff (DEA).

The meeting will focus on several recommendations for hire, including a Secondary CTE Teacher and Coordinator of Teaching & Learning, a Transitional Kindergarten Teacher, a 2nd Grade Teacher, a Visual Arts Teacher, and a School Psychologist. The final two positions are listed as tentative.

The meeting agenda includes accepting the resignation of a recently hired custodian, recommending a hire for an instructional paraprofessional, and discussing and approving the authorization of a conditional teaching certificate for Mrs. Wendy Harvey.

The meeting will include an executive session to discuss complaints or charges against a public officer or employee, and to discuss legal matters with counsel relating to agency enforcement actions or potential litigation.

The meeting agenda includes action items such as approval of recommendations for hiring a secondary math/science teacher and a school psychologist, as well as acceptance of resignations from an assistant boys basketball coach and a K-8 counselor.
