Durant Board of Adjustment Meeting
The board conducted a meeting to consider two separate zoning variance requests. The first request involved a variance for a vacant lot on North 5th, where a proposed small office building did not meet the required square footage standards. The second request involved a retail space development at 614 North 1st, which required variances for frontage and side setbacks due to the irregular lot size. In both instances, the board evaluated the proposals against the statutory four-question test for hardship, determined there was no detriment to the public good, and approved the requested variances.
