The council held a study session to discuss options for the Medina Days event. Public comments were received regarding interim development ordinance impacts on narrow lots and property values. The council endorsed three regional policy positions and approved a consent agenda covering proclamations for Professional Municipal Clerks Week, National Police Week, and National Safe Boating and Paddling Week, as well as a pond material sampling contract. The council directed the Planning Commission to study zoning reform opportunities related to development impacts and discussed the process for filling a council vacancy. Additionally, the council approved the purchase of a sidewalk sweeping machine. Executive sessions were held to review public employment and elective office appointment candidates, followed by the scheduling of interviews.

The Council conducted a public hearing on an interim ordinance relating to building bulk, privacy, and development impacts, receiving extensive testimony from architects and residents. Additionally, the council discussed future potential regulations regarding leaf blowers and short-term rentals and established a process for filling a council vacancy.
