N.C. Department of Natural And Cultural Resources Strategic Plan 2025-2029
This Strategic Plan outlines the N.C. Department of Natural and Cultural Resources' (DNCR) direction for 2025-2029, aiming to enrich lives through education and stewardship of North Carolina's natural and cultural resources. The plan is structured around five key goals: expanding educational excellence and supporting workforce pathways; strengthening local economies by leveraging DNCR sites; preserving, enhancing, and expanding access to natural and cultural resources; improving operational efficiencies, collaboration, and customer service; and supporting Western North Carolina's recovery from Hurricane Helene while integrating climate resilience. These goals are aligned with Governor Josh Stein's priorities, including Economic Opportunity, Excellent Public Schools, Healthier People, Safe Communities, Helene Recovery, and Quality Services.
