This preliminary landscape master plan for Cooper City aims to unify the city's public spaces, including parks, right-of-ways, and intersections, through a cohesive design aesthetic. It also presents two landscaping palettes: a low-maintenance Florida native option and a more vibrant, ornamental option. The public engagement process is designed to gather community input to finalize the plan, which is intended to guide the city's beautification efforts for decades to come.

The City Commission discussed and approved the creation of the City of Cooper City Public Safety Advisory Board. The board will consist of five members appointed by the Commission, tasked with assisting the City in ensuring adequate public safety services and providing recommendations to the City Commission. The board's duties include advising on contractual relationships with the Broward Sheriff's Office, addressing public safety needs from the residents' perspective, and recommending the acquisition of public safety assets.

The City Commission held a special meeting to discuss the financial plan. Concerns were raised about the City Manager's report, financial responsibility, spending from the fund balance, and loans. The City Commission approved items allowing First Baptist Academy's campus expansion, with conditions regarding traffic management and compliance with safety regulations. An amendment to the city's contract with BSO added a deputy sheriff for community outreach and crime prevention. New landscaping contracts were approved to improve city-wide beautification efforts. Finally, the commission is seeking resident input on a proposed project to improve Southwest 90th Avenue.
