The Board of Directors held a special meeting to conduct interviews for the open Board Director position number four. The meeting included the adoption of the agenda, an explanation of the interview process and structure, and the initiation of candidate interviews. The board also planned to enter into an executive session to evaluate the candidates for the director position.

The Board meeting included a presentation on the annual audit conducted by the Washington State Auditor's Office, which resulted in a clean audit with no material weaknesses identified, alongside recommendations in two management letters regarding supplemental contract procedures and financial condition. The superintendent provided updates on Teacher Appreciation Month and recognized the athletic achievements of the Evergreen High School girls basketball team and Union High School wrestling program. The session also included public comments regarding concerns over internal controls, management's handling of supplemental contracts, and staffing challenges in special education.
