The committee discussed and approved two tenant parking permits for 50 Williams Street. Additionally, the requests regarding 69 Crosby and 65 Lewis Street were reviewed and tabled for future consideration in November 2026.

The board considered multiple appeals involving use and area variances. A request to convert a four-unit dwelling into a five-unit dwelling was denied, but an area variance for a unit under 600 square feet was granted for the same property. The board approved an area variance to erect a 6-foot wooden fence on a corner lot. Two separate applications for roof-mounted solar arrays exceeding the standard 10 KW DC limit were reviewed and approved based on energy usage audits. Additionally, an area variance was granted for another property to erect a 6-foot solid fence to provide privacy for a patio area on a corner lot.

The council addressed several items, including the adoption of a local law to establish a uniform fee schedule for the City of Lockport. Approval was granted for various community events and sidewalk sale permits. Additionally, the council accepted a grant from CSX Transportation for the Fire Department and authorized a budget amendment. A contract for the East Avenue Pavement Rehabilitation Project was awarded to the lowest responsible bidder. The council also authorized an application for an Engineering Planning Grant for wastewater treatment plant improvements and approved an agreement for wastewater flow monitoring and sampling services with a sole-source provider.

The meeting was unable to proceed as scheduled due to a lack of a quorum.

The board conducted promotional interviews during an executive session. Following the session, the board officially approved the promotion of a firefighter to the rank of Lieutenant.
