Alternative ideas were explored, including a drive-by list of decorated residences, electronic submission of letters to Santa, and lighting up city buildings. The council also discussed the possibility of canceling the event if Montgomery County moves into a level four advisory, and they touched on the success and safety measures at the farmers market.
