Oklahoma Board Of Corrections Special Meeting
The board discussed several key operational and financial matters. The Director provided updates on COVID-19 response efforts within correctional facilities and reviewed an emergency water supply purchase for the Dick Conner Correctional Center. Legislative updates were provided concerning new roundtables, legislative initiatives for the upcoming session, and proposed pay increases. The board reviewed inmate population updates and approved the FY2022 budget request. Additionally, the Oklahoma Correctional Industries unit provided an overview of their operations, goals, and workforce development programs. Standing committee reports were also delivered covering topics such as executive oversight, security, public policy, and audit and finance.
