The Academic Council meeting involved several key discussions and approvals. Changes were approved for the Medical Office Assistant Program, including course updates and pursuing HICA accreditation. The Disability Studies Program received approval for changes regarding prerequisites and elective requirements. Additionally, the Council approved new prerequisites for the Early Learning and Child Care certificate/diploma programs to support student enrollment and practicum readiness. Finally, the formation of a summer subcommittee was authorized to manage time-sensitive program approvals during the academic break.
