Key goals include creating a safe community, providing high-quality services and innovative solutions, streamlining processes for efficiency, retaining staff and meeting departmental needs, achieving fiscal stability and sustainability, identifying sustainable resources, and fostering a positive, supportive, and collaborative culture.

The board discussed the Urban Forest Management Plan and upcoming board position openings. Staff provided updates on capital projects including the Park at Bothell Landing, the former Wayne Golf Course, and the Cedar Grove Inclusive Playground. Engagement efforts regarding the PROS Plan were reviewed, with public feedback emphasizing the need for accessible pathways, nature preservation, and potential facilities like an open-air skatepark.
