Region 4 Sabine Regional Flood Planning Group Regional Flood Plan Amendment 2023
This document, Amendment #2 to the 2023 Sabine Regional Flood Plan, was completed in March 2025. It details revisions aimed at recommending additional flood risk reduction solutions for consideration in the 2026-2027 Flood Infrastructure Fund cycle. The amendment expands the scope by identifying new Flood Management Evaluations (FMEs), Flood Management Strategies (FMSs), and Flood Mitigation Projects (FMPs), resulting in 216 recommended FMEs, 65 FMSs, and 45 FMPs. It also updates the estimated reduction in flood risk exposure and projects a total implementation cost of $4.084 billion, with $2.813 billion in state and federal funding required.
