Regular Meeting of the Abington School Committee
The meeting included reports on 2023-2024 MCAS results for grades 3-6 and secondary levels in ELA, math, and science; an update on Abington Innovates; additional home education program requests; consideration of an out-of-state field trip to Washington, D.C. for Abington Middle School 8th graders; a discussion on strategic planning objectives and initiatives focusing on teaching and learning, culture and inclusion; and informational items such as a letter from Bridgewater State University's Department of Music, the marching band's state championship win, and personnel appointments and resignations. An executive session was held to discuss strategy for negotiations with AEA Units A and B and non-union personnel.
