The council recognized several individuals as Home Rule Heroes and honored the City Clerk for her professional designation. Key action items included approving extensions for emergency proclamations related to Hurricanes Helene and Milton, renewing group health, dental, and vision insurance policies, and increasing Health Savings Account funding. The Council also established an advisory committee for the Veterans Memorial, set the fiscal year stormwater utility assessment rate, and authorized the termination of a construction management agreement for the Bay Pines Fire Station project. Additionally, the City Attorney provided guidance on the legal restrictions regarding advocacy on the Property Tax Bill while on duty.

The council discussed a revised request by PV-Lake Seminole, LLC to expand the scope of development agreement negotiations for the property located at 7405 Seminole Boulevard. The expansion includes adding a Dutch Bros drive-thru coffee shop to the previously authorized PNC Bank development on a different lot. Following the presentation by the Community Development Director, the council reached a consensus to authorize the City Manager to include the additional lot in the development agreement negotiations.

The Council approved seven-day extensions for emergency proclamations related to Hurricane Helene and Hurricane Milton. Updates were provided on community policing activities, including event participation and outreach efforts. The City Manager discussed a proposed legislative constitutional amendment for homestead exemptions and established a workshop to interview a resident applicant for the Fire Pension Board. Additionally, the Council reviewed the upcoming Tri-If-You-Dare Youth Triathlon, received updates on the Suncoast League of Cities meeting, and discussed future developments regarding the Veterans Memorial, the city budget process, and the timelines for the construction of a new Fire Station and Recreation Center.

The meeting included the presentation of the Government Finance Officers Association's Distinguished Budget Award. Action items involved approving extensions for existing Proclamations of Emergency related to hurricanes. The City Manager provided updates on upcoming community events including Kids Appreciation Day, Pool-A-Palooza, and the library's summer kickoff, as well as scheduling for future budget adoption and public hearing dates. Councilors also discussed a recent Hurricane Expo and the Tampa Bay Regional Planning Council's Annual Summit, and granted an excuse for a councilor's absence.

The agenda for the meeting includes the issuance of an RFP for audit services, discussion regarding trustee seat vacancies, and a consent agenda for payment ratification and new invoice review.
