The work session involved discussions on several agenda items, including rezoning requests (RZC2024-00058, RZM2024-00016, RZR2024-00022, RZR2024-00023, SUP2024-00091), a special use permit (SUP2024-00090), and the potential abandonment of a portion of Reynolds Road's right-of-way. Several items were tabled for the August 7, 2024 work session. Consent items for the July 22, 2024 regular meeting included contracts for gas main installation, power pole replacement, and design management services. The Gwinnett Urban County Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) renewal was also discussed. An executive session was held to discuss personnel, litigation, and real estate matters.

The Lawrenceville City Council held its regular meeting on August 19, 2024, addressing various agenda items including the approval of prior meeting minutes, consent agenda items (purchase orders, contracts, and appointments), and public hearings for development projects (Embry Development Company LLC and McKinley Homes, LLC).
