The committee meeting focused on aligning sub-committees and participants to address middle school enrollment strategies. Additionally, the committee discussed the results of the spring middle school enrollment survey, covering topics such as school choice preferences, programmatic interests, and qualitative research strategies including interviews and focus groups.

The City of Belmont's Age-Friendly Action Plan outlines a strategic roadmap to foster a community that is inclusive, accessible, and supportive of residents of all ages, ensuring they can thrive and maintain independence. The plan is structured around nine key domains: Outdoor Spaces and Buildings, Transportation, Housing, Social Participation, Communication and Information, Respect and Social Inclusion, Civic Participation and Employment, Community Support and Health Services, and Emergency Services. The commission also discussed and approved Zoning Text Amendments related to the Housing Element, development standards in the Corridor Mixed Use (CMU) District, parking requirements, and other zoning code updates, recommending City Council adoption with specific modifications related to residential care facilities, housing development projects, and transitional yards.
