This report provides an overview and monitoring of the Aurora Public Schools' International Leadership ACTION Zone initiative, with a specific focus on Boston K-8. As an outgrowth of a strategic planning process initiated in 2013, the initiative aims for schools within the ACTION Zone to become performance institutions within five years. The report identifies five key performance challenges and six root causes, including family engagement, language instruction, multi-tiered systems of support (MTSS), planning, professional development, and social-emotional needs, to address unique school challenges and improve outcomes.
