The commission reviewed and confirmed the appointment of two applicants for the position of paid-on-call member, contingent upon the successful completion of pre-hire physicals and orientation. Finally, the commission held officer elections for the positions of President, Vice President, and Secretary.

The commission reviewed multiple tourism reimbursement grant applications. Funding was approved for the Discovery Day Event, the Hartford New Year's Eve Getaway, and the Chandelier Ballroom Self-Guided Tour, with specific funding amounts adjusted for several requests. A request for funding for the Winter Boys/Girls Basketball Tournament was denied, as the event had previously received grant funding in the prior year.

The council held an oath of office ceremony for new alderpersons and conducted an election for the Council President. Key actions included the appointment of members to various boards and committees, the approval of a twenty-year hangar land lease, and the proclamation of May as ALS Awareness Month.
