The committee discussed and authorized the execution of a Memorandum of Understanding with the City of Chino regarding the Brine Line Reach IV-D relocation for the Euclid Bridge Project. Additionally, the committee authorized the General Manager to issue Requests for Proposals for several upcoming service contracts, including on-call surveying services, meter calibration services, and on-call line draining and emergency services.

The Commission discussed the approval of a contract with Larry Walker Associates for the Santa Ana River Annual Report, including services for data acquisition, quality control, and compliance analysis. The Santa Ana Watershed Project Authority's strategic direction, embodied in its "One Water, One Watershed" (OWOW) integrated region water management plan, focuses on improving water quality, capturing more water, and restoring vital habitats. The plan addresses future challenges like climate change, drought, and population growth by implementing advanced water recycling, stormwater capture, and nature-based solutions. A core vision is to protect the Santa Ana River, ensure brine line viability, foster regional collaboration, and secure grant funding to provide sustainable water resources and a thriving ecosystem for future generations.
