The discussion centered on valuation methodologies, specifically the income approach used by the county versus sales-based arguments presented by the appellant. Key topics included the classification of units as office or retail space, the impact of vacancy rates on valuation, the correct calculation of net leasable area, and the selection of comparable sales in the surrounding market area. Several cases were discussed, including adjustments for specific property parcels and the potential revision of assessments based on the presented evidence.
