The board reviewed the 2024-2025 school year audit, which provided an unmodified opinion, though auditors identified a significant deficiency concerning compliance with wage rate language in construction contracts for federal grants. Additionally, the board discussed the need for improved internal control procedures regarding reviews and approvals for school activity funds. The board also analyzed the district's general fund status, noting a decline in the overall fund balance and shifts in revenue distribution, specifically the trend of increasing local assessments coupled with decreasing intergovernmental subsidies.
